Surulere Const. II: Eko Progressive Young Professionals Rally Support For Hon. Sangodara’s Candidature
LAGOS – Eko Progressive Young Professionals, (EPYP) has passed a vote of confidence on the re-election of Hon. Mosunmola Sangodara, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State House of Assembly candidate, Surulere State Constituency II.
EPYP in a press statement issued on Wednesday by its Coordinator, Prince Abiola Ayinde reiterated that Hon. Sangodara remains the authentic candidate of APC in Surulere.
Abiola explained that contrary to the allegations of her detractors, it was established that Hon. Mosunmola attended Marywood Primary School and Yaba College of Technology.
Recall that, some members of the opposition party had challenged the academic qualification of Hon. Mosunmola Sangodara at the Federal High Court, in Lagos.
But at the hearing of the case on Wednesday, when trial resumed before Hon. Justice Oweibo of the Federal High Court the Subpoenaed witness from West African Examination Council, WAEC laid to rest the allegations that Hon. Mosunmola Sangodara possessed WASSCE.
The witness in her testimony before the court confirmed that Hon. Mosunmola Ogundara did sit for the WASSCE and possessed a genuine certificate duly issued by the council.
Earlier, at the Court, Yaba College of Technology had confirmed the studentship of Hon. Mosunmola.
The witness under cross-examination admitted he never saw a copy of the certificate alleged by the Plaintiff to be a forgery.
Justice Oweibo, therefore, adjourned the case to 2nd of November, 2022.
Shortly after the adjournment, the EPYP slammed the petitioners, describing them as lazy and distracting politicians.
”Those behind the false accusations and accompanying media trial are mere lazy politicians who are only out to distract the distinguished honourable member, and cause unhealthy bad blood between the ranks of the APC in Surulere. But as progressives, we won’t allow them to have their way. For the umpteenth time, Sangodara remains the candidate of the APC, and the generality of people within her constituency are set to renew her mandate with a landslide reelection come 2023.
“The campaign of calumny against the member representing Surulere State constituency 2 in Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mrs. Mosunmola Sangodara; a hardworking legislator, is gradually collapsing as she once again got a vote of confidence from his constituents to return as the legislator representing them.
“Don’t allow them to lie to you, we are following their jejune court case, and we can tell you that our Honourable will be vindicated at the end of it all.
”All their allegations are being trashed one after the other, it has been sufficiently established that Hon. Sangodara contrary to the allegations of her detractors attended Marywood Primary School and Yaba College of Technology.”
