Ogun NUJ Congratulates Edun, Tijani, Salako, urges them to be good ambassadors of Ogun State

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council has congratulated the three Ministers from Ogun State – Wale Edun, Minister of Finance; Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, and Ishaq Kunle Salako, Minister of State for Environment, following their swearing-in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday.

In a statement by the Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, the Union applauded the President for approving three slots for Ogun State and also for the choice of the appointees picked.

The council thereafter charged the three Ministers who will be working in actualizing the president’s renewed Hope agenda to leverage on the opportunity offered them by leaving Indelible marks on the sand of time as well as take full advantage of their offices to provide quality services to Nigerians.

The statement added that “the ministers must be team players by joining hands with the President to renew the hope of Nigerians and also be good ambassadors of Ogun state as they will be representing the interest of over seven million indigenes of the state.”

Olawale Edun who has a background in merchant banking, corporate finance, economics and international finance at both national and international levels is from Abeokuta South in Ogun Central and has been inaugurated as the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.

Bosun Tijani, born on 20th July, 1977 is an entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), the leading Pan-African innovation and technology centre.

Tijani is widely acknowledged as a pioneer and industry leader in the African technology ecosystem and was named as one of the 100 Most Influential People on the continent by New Africa Magazine. He is from Abeokuta South in Ogun Central and will man Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy Ministry.

Ishaq Kunle Salako is a medical practitioner and former Commissioner for Health in Ogun State.He’s the Co-ordinator, Ogun West Stakeholders Forum. He is from Aiyetoro in Ogun West Senatorial district and he will be Minister of State, Environment.

‘’Having gone through the track records and their past experiences cum positions assigned, it is no doubt that they can make the state and the country proud in their different portfolios,” the statement added.
