PDP Well-Placed To Rule Ogun In 2027 – Tolu Phillips
The candidate of Labour Party (LP) for the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency election in 2023, Hon Tolulope Oluwafikayo Phillips, has officially registered as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State.
Phillips registered on Tuesday at his Ward 7, Ijaye in Abeokuta South Local Government in the ongoing membership registration of the PDP.
He had earlier joined the major opposition party in the state shortly after the last election.
Speaking with newsmen, Phillips said he had joined his political forces with that of PDP having been convinced that PDP is well placed to rule Ogun State and Nigeria come 2027.
He vowed that there is a need to rescue Ogun and in Nigeria from “clueless leadership who are impoverishing Nigerians on a daily basis with needless and hardship policies.”
Phillips said “We all witnessed what happened in Ogun State during the last governorship election. We knew who truly won the mandate of the people, but sadly it has ended the way it did.
“But I am sure the next election will be different. PDP is well positioned and the party is going to win by God’s grace.”
He called on Nigerians youths to improve on their political participation, saying “we cannot continue to abandon the political space to the charlatans.”
