#OgunDecides2023: Senator Yayi Hails INEC’s Tremendous Improvement
ABEOKUTA – Senator-elect of Ogun West Senatorial District, Sen. Olamilekan Adeola has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for carrying out a seamless process during the gubernatorial and assembly elections on Saturday.
Adeola described the voting process as a tremendous improvement from the presidential election, saying all its efforts have been productive.
Adeola spoke shortly after casting his vote at his Polling Unit 009, UAMC Eleja Primary School, Pahayi, Ilaro, Yewa South LGA.
“Comparing it with what happened two weeks ago, we can see that there are tremendous improvements.
“The machines are working perfectly and people were able to vote within the shortest possible time
“The process has been flawless and we can only continue to improve and improve in the future,” he said.
He added that there are clear indications that the consciousness of Nigerians to the electoral process is daily increasing.
He urged INEC to continue improving so as to deliver on its mandate.
“It is our hope that at the end of the day, we’ll have a hitch-free process and the winner will be declared accordingly to the relevant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
