My MTN Media Fellowship Journey, By Olufemi Adediran

Olufemi Adediran, the Correspondent of New Telegraph Newspaper in Ogun State, shares his experience and gains as a beneficiary of the second edition of MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP-2).
Building My Career With MTN Media Innovation Programme
Joining the second edition of MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP-2) at the School of Media and Communication in Pan Atlantic University (PAU), has been a life-changing journey towards the development of my career as a media practitioner.
The last six months as a fellow of the MTN MIP-2 programme have been the most transformative experience, as the programme opened my eyes to the dynamic and involving nature of media industry in the face of technological innovations.

The programme parades an array of A-list seasoned and experienced tutors, making it the biggest and richest training programme (in terms of content) to be ever organised for media practitioners by any institution in Nigeria (I stand to be corrected).
From the get-go, I knew that I was in for a life-changing experience that would help me contribute to shaping the future of the Nigerian media ecosystem.
I drew up a list of objectives and goals to be achieved through the programme and I as we progressed in the programme some of these objectives have been met, while I have no doubt that others would be met and even surpassed.

Discussions during the programme delved into issues of entreprenuership, digital divide, data privacy and the need for ethical considerations in the era of innovation. These conversations provided a holistic understanding of the multifaceted nature of media innovation and the responsibilities that accompany it.
I cannot wait to fully unleash my potentials which have no doubt been improved by this programme.
Thank you, MTN and PAU!
My name is Adediran Olufemi Adeleke and I’m happy to be a fellow of the MTN MIP-2.
