Gov Abiodun Appoints Six Special Advisers

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has appointed six Special Advisers.

The Roving Pen reports that the six newly appointed Special Adviser served as commissioners during the first term administration of Governor Abiodun.

In a statement, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Waheed Adesina, said newly appointed advisers will oversee the same ministries they previously served as commissioners.

The statement added that former Commissioner for Finance, Dapo Okubadejo will serve as Special Adviser in the ministry of finance, while the immediate past commissioner for Budget and Planning, Olaolu Olabimtan will serve as Special Adviser in the same ministry.

Adesina added that, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi will serve as special Adviser in the ministry Housing, while Tomi Coker, a former Commissioner for health, will now serve as Special Adviser in the same ministry.

According to the statement, Engineer Adebowale Akinsanya who served as the Commissioner for works and infrastructure has been posted to the same ministry as Special Adviser, while the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, has been appointed as Special Adviser in the ministry of justice.
