Academic and Non academic staff of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Tuesday, embarked on protest over non-payment of their salaries and other issues affecting their operations.
The workers who converged on the institution’s premises carried placards bearing different inscriptions such as “No Review of Management Allowances”; “We Demand for The Report Of Forensic Audit”; No more Upgrading and Conversation of Examination”; and Rector and Bursary Must Go On Leave” among others
The workers under the aegis of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnic, Mapoly chapter, are also demanding the upgrading and conversion of teaching and non-teaching staff, among others.
Efforts to get reaction of the management of the institution proved abortive as of the time of this report.
