ABEOKUTA – The management of Gateway United has dedicated their 2022/2023 NNL matchday one win over Crown FC in Ogbomoso to Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The acting General Manager Niyi Soleye gave this recognition to the governor after the hard fought win which saw the Ogun State owned team pick maximum points on the road.
“I dedicate this hard-fought win to the reelection of Governor Dapo Abiodun. We definitely tapped from that. I also acknowledged the effort of the commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr Oluwadare Kehinde who came all the way from Abeokuta to inspire the players. That’s what he does effortlessly to the team. Of course, our teeming fans home and abroad, we shall make you proud this season”
Haruna Salifu’s solitary goal in the 34th minute and goalkeeping prowess of Araromi Ibukun earned the Ogun State owned team a 1 nil win over Crown FC in Ogbomoso.
