The Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu has condemned the spate of insecurity in Ogun State leading to serial killings and attacks across the state.
He accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of lacking in the capacity to stem the tide of insecurity in the state.
Adebutu according to a release by the Media Director of his campaign Organization, Afolabi Orekoya, bemoaned the recent cultist clashes in Sagamu Local Government Area and the invasion of a church in Ewekoro Local Government Area with two worshippers kidnapped.
He said in the release that “it is sad that Ogun State lacks a responsible and responsive government that has no value for the lives of its citizens.” “A government that can not proffer a lasting solution to the incessant violence and attacks across the state for almost its entire period of governance.”
Adebutu said a responsible government should value the lives of its people by protecting it.
He also described the current state of security in Ogun State as “bizzare,”noting that the government is apparently helpless and incapable to deal with the situation.
He, however, called for calm, advised the people to be more vigilant while assuring that there is hope in sight with PDP set to take power in 2023.
